Do you want to give your child the best start?

Few people know that by the time a child/tamaiti reaches school, 85% of their brain will have developed (Brainwave Trust). This means that the quality of your child's/tamaiti learning experience from birth to school age is the most important stage of all. That's why we do everything we can to give your child/tamaiti the best in the crucial early years.

We are unique to other home based providers because we understand there are lots of families that want to organise their own in-home care with someone they know and trust (such as a au pair or nanny, grandparent, relative or friend) and still benefit from the learning programmes, teaching support and government subsides of organised in-home childcare.

The footsteps learning programme is the perfect answer – we provide quality learning programmes for your child/tamaiti from birth to 5 (6 if not at school) and chosen caregiver/kaitiaki on behalf of the Ministry of Education, which means you can access all these quality benefits at no cost.

Over 10 years experience in Early Childhood Education

With 10 years experience, we have the passion, experience and expertise to provide a unique programme that caters for each child’s/tamaiti differences while having as much fun as possible – after all, we know this is when they learn best.

Here are just some of the ways in which we make sure your child/tamaiti is receiving the best quality early learning at home:

• footsteps devote more teaching time to each child/tamaiti – we limit our teachers/kaiako caseloads because we care more about quality than profit
• footsteps work 1:1 with your child/tamaiti and caregiver/kaitiaki – we ensure the support we provide is tailored to your child’s/tamaiti individual abilities and interests
• footsteps only employ qualified Early Childhood Education teachers – all our teachers/kaiako have a Degree or Diploma in Early Childhood Education to ensure your child/tamaiti get’s the best learning support
• footsteps provides more training days to their teachers – we give all our staff up to 20 days professional development a year to ensure they are up-to-date with the latest thinking and research for high quality early childhood education
